Self-described as a moody chef, Julia graduated with Dean’s List Honors from the French Culinary Institute in New York City in 2014. She holds a Grand Diploma in Pastry Arts. She assisted her dean and “culinary Elvis”, Jacques Pepin, for a year with his demos and extracurricular training sessions for all students and industry professionals.
Originally from Chicago, Julia worked as a first responder for over twenty years. Working as a career Firefighter/Paramedic polished her “bullshit detector” and rather direct style. *SPOILER ALERT* Chefs and first responders may occasionally say a swear word here and there.
Julia furthered her expertise in the Food Science and Safety Program (specialty in dairy) at Penn State University. She values all of her education and experience. However, by far, her biggest waste of time and money would be the etiquette classes and charm school she attended on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Bottom line, Julia’s greatest priorities would be employee safety and food safety. She is happy to bring a fine line of products to the Worcester area.
