Julia Moriconi

Self-described as a moody chef, Julia graduated with Dean’s List Honors from the French Culinary Institute in New York City in 2014. She holds a Grand Diploma in Pastry Arts. She assisted her dean and “culinary Elvis”, Jacques Pepin, for a year with his demos and extracurricular training sessions for all students and industry professionals.

Originally from Chicago, Julia worked as a first responder for over twenty years. Working as a career Firefighter/Paramedic polished her “bullshit detector” and rather direct style. *SPOILER ALERT* Chefs and first responders may occasionally say a swear word here and there.

Julia furthered her expertise in the Food Science and Safety Program (specialty in dairy) at Penn State University. She values all of her education and experience. However, by far, her biggest waste of time and money would be the etiquette classes and charm school she attended on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Bottom line, Julia’s greatest priorities would be employee safety and food safety. She is happy to bring a fine line of products to the Worcester area.

Emily

Emily has a calming effect on Julia. A wizard in digital literacy, Emily gives the team a better online presence. You can find her in the store or at our many mobile events. She has great knowledge of our products, and her favorite flavor is Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk. Ask her about her really cool dog Rue.

John Moriconi

When he doesn’t have a smoked turkey leg in his hand, you will find Mr. Moriconi helping us at farmers markets or mobile events. When he has a trumpet in his hand, you will find Johnny Blue Horn playing at various blues venues, festivals, weddings and clubs all over New England.

Our food truck family at WooTrucks

It takes a village. Small businesses band together in the food truck community. Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream has been a member of WooTrucks since 2021. Without the strength and guidance of Veronica Crespo (Sabor Latino), Manicotti Mike (Bird’s Nest Italian Street Food and Paninis) and Mark Gallant (founder of Woo Trucks and the one and only Dogfather), we would not be where we are today. Whether they like it or not (they mostly like it), they are part of Team Ice Cream!
